Could anyone please explain difference between early and first releases, and how did an SP67 sell for frikin 30+50$ shipping ... doesn't make any sense :/

Edit: for USA shipping is 1.99 so makes sense

I looked into the "first" and "early" release graded coins, as I was looking into some coins on ebay and I saw these selling for more. It's basically a scam for being able to mark them as special and sell them for more, it only depends on how fast the coins are sent to the grading company, nothing more. Here is a good article on this, and a note that NCG has stopped doing this (there was a lawsuit) but PCGS still does this

That I know, I was asking for difference between the early releases and first releases. Is it the same thing ? And thanks rp14 for replying

Misunderstood your question, the "first release" is not used by NCG anymore, because of the lawsuit. Same timing to get the "first" and "early" on the grading of 30 days, but NCG quit using "First Release" from 2012 on.

Awkward, cause they just graded a moon mask 2013 with first release, and the wolfs 20 for 20 are also early and first release ... Doesn't matter I guess
