Wondering what references you might have micro to learn about variety/error coins?

We can suggest a few good books ... beyond of course what you can learn ad-hoc with various posts at the CCF.

I would recommend The Official Price Guide to Mint Error by Alan Herbert and Ken Potter, most library would have a copy. Although I preferred to own a copy myself, as a good reference I refer to all the time.

Be sure to read the Minting process section!

Thanks for the advice, I have Ken Potter's Strick it Rich and will add
The Official Price Guide to Mint Error. I searched this cent and compared it to some others online that were considered die caps I guess I got it wrong.
