I recently found this Constans Fallen horseman for sale for $27 shipped. I have been looking for one for a while now and it looks like a decent example. Looks good for the price? Thanks! Edited by VisigothKing 10/03/2012 7:43 pm

Looks pretty good to me. It's an AE2, right?
That one might be FH3 or FH4. I think it's worth the money. Nice details and a rare or uncommon fallen horseman variety.

Well, Your not really breaking the bank on it but if you want a super nice example, and this condition satisfies you. I can't comment on price but I figure $20-$30. I think you might be alright in that department. I comes down to weather you really want this one or if you want to hold out for a better example then you should do so. I dont think it would be bad idea to buy it. The coin caught your eye and there is something to be said for that. Its almost better when you don't select the coin, but rather the coin selects you.

Thanks guys, you have me convinced I'm going for it. And yes it is an AE2 (23 mm to be exact). And the pose is FH4 (FH3 is the reaching backwards, the most common of the poses). I couldn't agree with you more Ancientnoob

It's a tough call with the worn legends and no mint mark, though the horseman and his helmet are cool. Personally I would wait and look for another one.

I started to reply when you first posted it, but had to run with my wife to the doctor. It's not a bad looking coin, but it does have either worn legend or a poor strike on the legends. I would say the coin is somewhat overpriced, but not so bad that if you really want it that you shouldn't go for it. I know I'm late responding, but it couldn't be helped.

Thanks everyone I realize it isn't a steal, but it at least isn't a rip-off, and that's ok with me. Plus its coming with the capsule, so technically I am buying that too

Looks like an FH1 to me and would be worth double the price if the mintmark were clear. I don't usually buy coins without mintmarks but a little work might place this one to the mint (Lugdunum?) by style and it might be worth owning if you want an FH1.

I do believe your right dougsmit, it does look like FH1 to me. As for the whether or not it ha a mint mark, I looked at the exergue carefully and see two characters and a star at the end. The two characters to me look a bit like A and R, so I think it could be Arles. But I could be wrong of course. Hopefully the mintmark will be clearer when I have it in hand

My first thought was maybe Siscia, but I think Doug is right with Lugdunum. Pretty sure it's not Arles tough
