I find these and the $20 for $20 cards are a waste of space.

Firsst of all, I am confused.
You say that these are $20 for $20 cards. Do these cards really cost $20? The legendary collection card was free.
I thought the other coins are going to be released in 2013. How did Cheney get them?

I'll take a shot at it.

I think Lostwords is referring to the folded cardboard COA that came with the 20 for 20 coins. Totally different coins and display device, but I agree those folders are too big and don't do much for the coins. That said, some have sold on ebay, without the coin, for stupid prices.

Yes they were free but I guess someone found a bunch and is selling them. The mint mailed them out free on request but many dealers had them in their shops too. Someone must be willing to pay for them.

Correct. The Shannon, Brock and Tecumseh (November) come out in 2012. The De Salaberry and Secord come out in 2013. Probably why only the Shannon and Brock coins in Cheney's photo show the reverse. The others are just place holders until the actual coins come out.

Just a guess but I suspect he/she went to a boutique or dealer today or he/she found a photo on the internet somewhere.

RCM is handing out the folders and exchanging the quarters this weekend so they are out there.

Someone even has them on ebay already.

I believe he was referring to the cards that come with the $20 for $20 coins. I'm not sure how he has all the coins, but looking closely at the picture they don't seem to be the actual 2013 coins, but I'm not sure.

Crazy. Already 49 sold.
Cheney has all the holes filled. I thought that the other coins in the serie won't come out until next year.
Also, do they have free cards in Vancouver?

Silverbug,
Thanks!
I figure that you got them from Vancouver which is my approximate location.
Thanks!

Quite attractive! I wish it was done in pure nickel, instead of steel, but alas.

I went to Downtown Vancouver today and exchanged some.
Forsted finish. What they tell me is that these coins are struck for proof-like finishes and there will be no bussiness strikes. I somewhat believe and doubt that at the same time.
Great coin, anyway.

I just ordered 2 sets, the maximum. That will be 10 of each, I may only want 4 of each, I may sell some extras if any members are interested. I will likely 2/2 them, as opposed to leaving them in the bulky cellophane packages, and 4 of each will look nice on a page.
