Lucius Antonius was the youngest brother of Mark Antony.Armed conflict with Octavian, obliged Lucius to capitulate;but Octavian pardoned the offence and even appointed him to the governorship of Spainwhere he died soon..

Very interesting coin. I would assume this is a rare coin type, as I've not seen one like it before this. Some of the posters know this already, but I named my youngest son Marcus Antonius in honor of this remarkable, though infamous, individual.

I have a lot to learn about the forming of the empire. Never even heard of this guy, but I love the look of those older Roman coins, even the worn ones. Very nice.

No offense intended but it looks like a lot of coins you posted have been over-cleaned a bit. Hard to tell from photos sometimes. Some of them look like the patina is gone.

This coin is a fourree or plated coin with a thin envelope of silver over a copper core. In addition to breakthrough to the core on both sides, you have a classic seam on the Mark side where the silver foil overlapped. Being plated should reduce the price of the coin by about 75% from a solid coin in the same grade. Many collectors want absolutely nothing to do with them because they are generally considered to be the work of forgers rather than from the official mint. Some of us collect them but we still don't pay full price. I have a page series that shows more than most people want to know about the subject:
