Any guesses as to the grade of this 1854 large cent? I am not quite sure if it is VF or F. Thanks.

Also, I should mention that the coloring is just due to the lighting. In hand the coin is a nice, even chocolate brown.

Fine 15 no more, check the http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/#/Br...Cent/Grades" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">PCGS Photograde http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/#/Br...dCent/Grades

It's on the line between F-15 & F-20 the necklace and leaves on the reverse are more worn like a F-12 but there is enough detail in the rest of the coin I think to possibly go 15 but no more IMO. Hard to grade some of the border-line coins when the color/luster can't be seen in hand. I spy a cool die break on the reverse, I'm hoping it's not a scratch.

amida17- It actually doesn't need verdicare. It is just the lighting. It is an even chocolate brown in hand.
westcoin- Actually it is a scratch, unfortunately.
