I would say that between VG and F, but I am no pro.

The detail on the high points is a little rounded, but this example is reasonably attractive. AU 50.
The weakness of the lettering on the obverse bothers me a little. Perhaps someone more expert than myself may wish to comment on this aspect.

AU50 sounds good the wear is enough for an EF45 but there is still enough detail to make a 50 grade me thinks. Great coin!

Would you folks agree that the apparent wear could be the result of a weak strike? There are inconsistencies, the most obvious is the lack of any detail in the right index finger. Notice how the "L" and "I" are weak, but the "RTY" is VERY sharp. The reverse shows some outstanding detail in parts of the wreath but a weak "HALF DIME." Much higher grade than a fine. XF45 or AU50, weak strike, is my opinion.

Well I told you that I am no pro, lol. I was thinking that it would grade higher though. I just didn't have time to update my post.

Reverse detail looks close to AU but the obverse is a little weaker. Strike could explain some of the weak spots. The overall "look" does not seem original. The lifeless gray color and apparent total lack of luster suggests some kind of altered-surface problem.
Unless the price was really low I would pass if the coin were offered for sale.

Jaobler, when you say altered do you mean cleaned or dipped or polished? It wasn't low but thought the detail was nice. It is original correct? Ill have better look when it arrives. Thanks to all

"Altered Surface" is a catch-all term used by PCGS to indicate the coin has been processed in some manner. Could refer to dipping, buffing with a cloth, application of wax or something else to smooth out tiny dents, or anything else that makes the coin look less than original. I would guess this Half Dime has been over-dipped in an attempt to brighten it, then allowed to re-tone over time (could be months or years) and the result is this uniform gray color. Over-dipping dulls luster and a coin with this much detail on the reverse should have some original luster around the edges and in between letters. I don't see any luster at all which is why I suspect the coin has been seriously dipped. Of course, that's just my opinion based on these images. The coin might look better in-hand. If you are happy with it that's all that really matters.

Alright sel_69l, I will. Also, I'm getting better and better by the day when I am studying coin grading on some apps.

Hmm... I don't know if it has been over dipped. I think it is the photos.
