So my local bank tellers saved me a bag of old penny rolls an old man brought it.

It was $25 worth. So far they have been 99% copper. There were some 82s and 83s for some reason, (82s were mostly Zinc oddly, I usually find twice as many copper 82s)

Other wise, I have found 3 wheats, and a LOT of copper! basically $25 in copper already sorted except for those few rolls.

I still have a lot of rolls to go through, but I took a small break to let yall know!

woot!

What do you plan to do with them? Hope the value goes way up?
I don't understand why people are saving them.

Because they can.

As I have said before, I keep them because the thought of them being melted bothers me.

True, JBuck. Plus, don't want the elites to have all the precious metals.

Copper is a precious metal... at least when it is in the form of a beautiful coin.

That's what I'm saying, I don't want the rich to get it all, so best we collect some.

One could already sell copper on ebay for more than face:

Better than saving money in fiat currency or electronically, no?

Most importantly, it's just plain fun :)

I finished going through them. Only 5 wheats, but a good bit of old canadians from the 50s and such. But mostly just a few jars full of copper :)

FYI,
USA are 95% copper, not 99%
older Canada cents are 98%
