I found this quarter with a die crack a few weeks ago. It was interesting to me, because I had thought that die cracks were relatively rare in modern coins, but apparently, because of how quickly the US Mint changed the dies during the State Quarter program, there are a lot of errors like this. Still, it's interesting!

Given the tons of pressure involved in the strike process, die cracks will always be around. Been finding many shield pennies with die cracks on the shield. If you find the coin interesting then keep it. Die crack values increase by the number, length, and width of the crack. Rim to rim cracks have value as well as coins with 3 or more cracks.
