Quote: Wow, you have found a lot of them Hollywood! I have found four complete (d) sets + of each coin to Hawaii in business strike quality still need the (p) I will get from coin dealers. Quote: Were your "extra" S-Quarters 'culls' from the 100-coin bags? No ! They were culled from mint rolls and they look close to full strike through a loupe ms-68 or ms69 + based on the sheldon scale high quality. Quote: I certainly wouldn't be handing them out to kids It was a spur of the moment thing giving the trick or treaters one of each. Im only going to put four sets together in dansco albums for me & family and didn't need the extra weight of them all.

You gave out S-Quarters from rolls?! I'm trick-or-treating at HOLLYWOOD's house next year! No joke about the S-Quarters being high-MS. The best coins in the Hawaii-D Rolls I picked up at the Denver Mint are about MS-65, those rolls averaged MS-63 (which is better than most of the State/Territory Quarter rolls I got there). My open Hawaii-S roll is MS-68+ and the grade difference from MS-65 is quite obvious.

Yes they are out there for sure ...especially in the Maryland area. I have found many D's as well.

Haven't found any up here in Canada yet but in July my wife and I went to Glacier National Park and then on to Yellowstone, and in the space of less than a week and checking about $20 worth of quarters I managed to pick up 5 different ones, all D's. Beautiful country, BTW!

Quote: I can send you these (s) qtrs If they make them next year, which they haven't committed to yet, but it's so nice to have "business strike" Quarters in such high grades (they even beat the P & D Mint Set coins!). And it was great of you to give them out to the kids! Thanks, HOLLYWOOD! PS: the dentist in my old neighborhood gave out Dimes.

I will take the problem of getting a new album. LOL I want them to continue these as I like them a lot. If they could do it, I would love them to go back and do the previous 10.

Rusty, I have been wanting to take a trip to Yellowstone for quite a few years. But from CA, it would be somewhere around 2 12 hrs days, unless I powered through the night into the next morning. lol I do get to go to Yosemite once or twice a year. In my opinion, however, they could have done a much better job with the ATB Yosemite. HH

My neighbor picked up 4 Olympic Park quarters in her change last year when she went to Oly Park. I'm wondering if the parks get a bunch of rolls as part of their promotion...

It's odd that they are so rare. Has anyone else also noticed that a lot of them are not strongly struck and often have a cloudy surface rather than a nice luster?
