Well, not my branch, but my wife's. Got a call yesterday afternoon from a CSM at her branch regarding some dated hand rolled pennies a customer had brought in. All he said was "I have something that I think you'd be interested in". I have to confess that the next 2 hours at work were a bit of a blur and dragged on.....So I get to the bank and he hands me 28 rolls of pennies with clearly marked dates. 1931, 1932, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1948, 1962 1963, 1964, 1965. Also, 4 rolls of US steelies that didn't fare well where they were being stored. All the '60's are like they were struck yesterday. The others are all brown, some with heavy wear. I went through 2 of 4 '48's and have found 8 f+ A to small denticles.
This was a great thing to have happen and I made sure to thank the guy profusely for remembering me. I will post some pics when I get home tomorrow.
