Smackdown XXII, value for money A coin that is good value for its cost, bought no earlier than 1 month ago (Sept 24, 2012) and before 7 days from now (the end of October, Eastern time) on a web site available to us all (such as ebay or vcoins or other web sites). If you win an ebay coin or buy another coin on the web in the next seven days, it will be eligible even if you don't have it in hand. (Specifically excluded are coins from shows or local coin dealers or friends.) You must tell us the total cost, including shipping (which is really part of the cost.) so we can tell if the coin really is good value for the money. You must tell us the date purchased so we can see if it was bought in the time period. You might enter a coin you have not yet bought if you buy it in the next seven days! The other rules are as follows: 1) At most (2) two entries per member. 2) Voting: Vote for three in order of preference, Gold (3 pts), Silver (2 pts), Bronze (1 pt). 6 bonus points if you have never posted a coin to a Smackdown before (Tell us.) 3) Host computes the vote totals and announces the winner. Host may enter but cannot win. Winner chooses next Smackdown subject and is the next host. 4) You do not have to enter a coin to vote but please do try to enter something. 5) Base your votes on the criteria of "value for money." 6) Number of golds will be the first tie breaker. If two coins have the same score and the same number of golds it will be the host's choice. 7) Enjoy. Entries are accepted from now until the end of October (end of next Wednesday), Eastern time. Voting will last two days until Friday Nov. 2 at 11:00 pm Eastern time

Here is a sample coin of "value for money." An antoninianus (radiate) of Maximian (286-305) with the unusual reverse CONCORDIA AVGG (not the common CONCORDIA MILITVM) bought on ebay Oct. 9 for $14.50 including postage. This coin is not eligible because I am the host.

Hmmm, not much to show in this round The only coin I've bought this past month is my Nero fake (which would have been a good deal if genuine ).

it's part of my strategy...putting the coins on such an ugly table should make the coins look prettier by comparison...right?

yup => that's exactly why that hot chick hangs-out with those two fat-chicks => it's all advertising!! ... ummmm, sure that may be in bad taste, but sadly it is more true than it is harmful ...

Quote: Here is a sample coin of "value for money." I've bought a few bargains from this seller, they even offered free postage to the UK until recently, pretty good for a cat
