brg5658 - I only have one question: What does it feel like to own something, of which only 30 - 50 exist in the entire world ? That's a sensation I'm not familiar with. Jack

Nice 1901 Penny

I want to say it's MS-63....

but I'm having trouble getting over some of the blemishes, especially on the obverse cheek and veil, and also on the reverse breast.

Taking that into consideration I could see how someone might knock it down to 62, 61 or even as low as AU-58.

Just my opinion..

In U.K. grading GEF (good etremely fine) is the equivalant of AU (almost uncirculated) by U.S. grading standards.

The weak strike and soft features aren't helping either.

Just my observations.
