I picked this one up earlier in the month ^^ I don't have many early hammered but I must make an effort to aquire a few more ^^   Sorry the photo's aren't great, I am not too good with that. The coin itself is not bad though, Henry III long-cross penny minted in London. |

Hi, Still struggling with grading, so advice please? I have graded this one as VF. But have seen far worse examples graded the same. Am I being to conservative or are others too generous? Thanks Andy   |

Armed with my newly purchased trusty guide to grading British coins i'd grade that a good Fine rather than VF. The ear has VF detail but not enough hairlines in the hair.
I'm a grading noob too though so see what others think.
