Picked up another $25 in $2's this morning... Almost had a keeper serial number, was two numbers off 00858300...

But as follows:

2003-3

2003 A-1

2009-17

2013-3

I think he meant 25 bills, which would be 50 dollars worth.

Makes sense, except for that cursed dollar sign in front of the 25.

Then there is the whole semantics of the sentence. My guess is he meant to type 26.

I can see how it slipped up, though. I do stuff like that a lot.

But what if it was that he gave $25 and only got twelve two dollar notes?

Or gave $25 for thirteen? Free money!

That is what I meant to say... 25 bills not $25 dollars...

You can`t get a $2 bill Series of 2003 St.Louis Distrcit by a bank.
This is a a collector issue.

A dealer gave me two of these in change for a purchase. I won't get political on the sectary of the treasury who signed the bill. My kids know why I saved them. Sorry for the poor pics. AG

Fun Fact. The painting "The Declaration of Independence" by John Trumbull was edited when engraved for the reverse of the $2 bill. 7 men from the painting were taken out (mostly from the outside edges) and didn't make the final cut, while 2 unidentified men were added into the middle of the image. Possibly Trumbull and the Engraver? Maybe two other Historical figures? Any Conspiracy Theorists out there? :)

I never knew that! I had to get both images on my screen to compare. You are correct.

Very interesting. However, I am thinking more artistic license and less conspiracy.

You can always learn something new every day. Probably not a conspiracy, but wouldn't be surprised if it wound up being a clue for Nick Cage in National Treasure 5. haha.

Oh, I can certainly see that.

I am still waiting for National Treasure 3. I want to know what was on page 47!
