I have a hundred dollar bill with the serial number: 22222121. How would this be designated? I know its a binary, but it has five 2's with a repeater. If it might be of value to someone who collects paper money, what would be the best way to sell it besides ebay? Thank you!
Rest in Peace

A true "binary" is 1/0. This is just a lot of digits, be hard pressed to get much over $10 above face, and, if it ain't crisp, you're toast!

Eye catching number but @Crazyb0 pretty much defined it correctly.

Must agree with the above... if it's not crisp, spend it.

However, "binary" is a reasonable descriptor for a SN containing only 2 distinct digits. The first definition for "binary" in the M-W dictionary is "something made of two things or parts".

Hundreds are hard to collect, unless they're special. The choice is yours

Upside is virtually nothing - spend it.

Welcome to CCF TimeIsMoney.

Typically we tell collectors, if you like it keep it, but typically the notes in question are small denominations and easy to "not spend". There is not much, if any premium on the serial number alone. From the advise given so far, you have some direction in making an informed decision.

It's a neat number, but not really special. Still, someone will want it. Unless you want to keep it, go ahead and put it on ebay with the same bid open as other similar 100s, like $124.95 or whatever, and see what happens. Charge $3.00 postage to US, with a mylar sleeve and a hard mailer.
