Hey guys, I have never been a set-registry guy but I just found this promo while surfing the PCGS website. There are rules and regulations, but click on the link below to get what I just got http://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/information.htmlP.S. should get you a free PCGS graded ATB Quarter for first time users Erik

Thanks!! It says free State Quarter, though. Does anyone know the estimated shipping time?

I signed up and in the email it said "A PCGS certified U.S. State Quarter will be sent to you by U.S. Priority mail in the next ten days." So I guess it is a State Quarter, but a free certified quarter is worth at least $0.25 for giving an email and mailing address.

I signed up, though I'm not sure if I just missed where it says I get a free quarter. Oh well, it seems fun enough.
Edit: Found it; it was in the email.

Thanks for the post. I signed up and in the email it said they are sending me a graded quarter within 10 days. I was going to buy my first graded coin but I guess I am getting it for free :) The question is....if it is a ATB that I don't have yet do I break it open and put it in my album! jk

Quote:if it is a ATB that I don't have yet do I break it open and put it in my album! sure, I have no quarrels with cracking out a coin for an album and have cracked out many of them for that purpose. The coin will probably just be the normal pocket change coin or out of rolls they get from their bank like they give out at shows in sample slabs but heck its free so it doesn't really matter. I have been a member of their registry for years so I can't sign up but hope all of you get a coin you need for your collection. I really have no interest in modern coins so this wouldn't really interest me anyway but free is free I guess

Bryan- When you register coins there do they have to be PCGS slabbed coins? I am assuming they do have to be but it would be cool if they didn't have to. I guess there would be people that would be putting coins in the system to be an internet coin museum full of coins they didn't possess so I am sure I answered my own question.

Jayman I'm almost positive that they have to be all PCGS. I know for a fact they dont take ANACS or ICG coins, they may have allowed NGC at one point but I dont believe they do anymore

I just signed up for their Registry set and I am plugging away right now. The ATB Quarter is an added bonus...perhaps a "Secret Santa" item.
