The oldest US note in my collection is this Series of 1880 US $ 10.00 Note. Wish it was in better condition. Hopefully I will be able to grade it some day.

Thanks for the nice comment Dave L.
I like it also, it grades about VF but I try to collect my notes in XF or better, on some, such as this one, I had to lower my standards to acquire it, but when a nicer one comes along if I can afford it I'll try an buy it, and then I'll trade or sell this one to help pay for the better one.

What I meant to say in my last post was.

Hopefully I will be able to -UP- grade it some day, but for some reason I could not edit my post.

Of course someone much more intelligent than I had to comment on that.
Regards
Bill C.

Well, strictly speaking, no one's posted a Continental Currency note yet on this thread. Here's mine, though it's only my second oldest note!

If your reply exceeded one day you won't be able to edit it, unless, you contact one of the moderators ...

You should have received such a message (in red) when you tried to edit your post. Besides, you have spent quite sometime in here to figure it out yourself!

God bless ...

Nice bill, Bill :))

My next bill is either 1914 $1 "the flying eagle" or 1864 $1.

Hi dinhjames,
I have both the $ 1.00 "flying eagle" and the
$ 2.00 "Battleship" note, both in XF, the "flying eagle" note is a radar note if your into that sort of thing.

I just up graded them so will be trading them off in the near future for other notes I want to up grade. If I can be of any help to you in the future let me know.

Unlike some spoiled rich kids, ( hi james. Sorry, I had to do that, just to see what it felt like to act like a child again, now I know it's more fun being an adult ).

Anyway not being a spoiled rich kid I had to save up my pennies to buy them, in fact had to cancel my vacation just so I could afford them, but being a real currency collector I figured they were worth it.

Spoiled "rich" kid?!!

God bless you!

Thanks for entertaining me (as usual)

Please don't stop your "nice" comments on me!!

I have NO idea about the "proper" way to approach and communicate with you?!

When I talked to you in a "nice" way (earlier) to stop harassing "New" members and try to be nice to them (even if they were at fault), you started arguing with me and justifying your reactions!

When I wanted to discuss and debate with you (earlier) in a PLAIN English about CGA (after you claimed that I'm providing misleading info.), you did not like it and for NO convincing reasons you started replying in a low class manner.

When I wanted to re-discuss the same topic (CGA) "academically", you did not like it (perhaps, did not understand it) and AGAIN you started acting low class.

Then you got tired (I think!) for a while, and then, after you have been recharged, you replied to one of my recent threads (the Poll, if you remember) and made fun of my intelligence and wanted me to appear like a fool. Nevertheless, I wanted to discuss it with you "Statistically" with no response!!

Guess, I have a SKRK syndrome (Spoiled "Knowledgeable" Rich Kid), then?!!

Btw, there is NOTHING wrong at all to be "rich" and "knowledgeable" at the same time!

FYI, I'm NOT a rich person!!

In multiple threads, you declared that you are sick & tired of this forum due to trivial and nonsense threads being posted by some "New" members (the way you see it) and you are no longer interested in participating (unless otherwise required). Perhaps, your intelligence and knowledge are way beyond others'! Nevertheless, you are still active and practicing the same old habit of harassing members!!

Kiddo, you REALLY need a vacation!! You need to take a LONG rest and stop being paranoid!!

To conclude, paranoia has a cure, so, do not worry!!

And NO offense, I do NOT want to stoop my level anymore. Thus, you are free to provide your funny childish comments on me, and promise will NEVER reply back!

P.S. did you like the "Smilies"?!!

Cheers

james,
Please don't get so up set. All I did was say hi james and used one of those childish smiley thingies like children do.

It's obvious you have a lot of time on your hands writing all that BS, here's a suggestion for you, now of course you don't have to do this, it's only a suggestion, why don't you use all that time and all that intelligence and knowledge your supposed to have helping real currency collectors instead of wasting it on someone like me and the kids wanting to know if the wrinkled up "old" dollar bill from 1999 they got in change from McDonald's is worth anything.
Cant help myself, one last childish smiley
Bill Collector.

I hope this picture isn't too big. This is my oldest and coolest note with some neat history.
https://goccf.com/t/108610 <--- This is the topic I had started for it when I found it.
I've showed it off to a few people and its legitmate. I took it to the Civil War show in Franklin Tennessee last weekend and Mr. Greg Ton got to check it out. He seemed like a hard core collector and he tried bo buy it :) It aint for sale though :) Anyways Here it is...

Some neat links I've researched are
