Hello everyone! I think this coin was struck with clashed dies and would like to verify. It's hard to catch the lighting right (I use a scanner, it's unidirectional so there's a lot of fiddling to get it to catch) so I put 3 light angles of each side of the coin. The clashes on the front were harder to take pictures of, but they are more visible in hand. Also, I noticed that the end of a wheat ear was split, could be MD but I'm not sure as it appears to be the same height as the rest of the stem whereas MD would lower the doubled design not keep it at the same height. I need a microscope already. xD Thanks for any and all opinions ahead of time! Also, just thought I would point out ahead of time, MadDieClashes doesn't seem to have any clashes listed for this year & mint. Click the picture, it get's QUITE larger. I am not good with Wheat cent clashes but I am having my doubts. The mark by the C should be more sharp I would think? But I am far from being a pro. I would like to read what a pro has to say. John1

John, the mark by the C is pretty much as sharp as die clashes come. You'd be lucky to find one this sharp, odd you'd say that but like you said, you aren't good with Wheat cent clashes.

CentMan, what format are you using to click & get a larger picture? Pretty neat.

I don't upload my images on the forum therefore I can use larger images. By default, if an image is too big the forums will make it appear smaller and make it clickable which then makes the image larger. I use ephotobay to upload my images, I don't think they have a file size limit.

So we have one person saying that I have a Very Strong clash, and another that says the clash isn't strong enough.

Clash marks can be very hard to see and you may see it only for a second at a certain angle, the reason I said it was strong was because I think the clash can be seen at almost straight on and be seen, you usually need special lighting and angles, the pics seem like very minor variances so I believe it's a strong clash and it is also off center/shifted. It is not listed so I do not know if it is new or what protocal they want require. Kris

I found this clash with the naked eye, no magnification. Wasn't even looking for clashes! I used a scanner to image the coin and those things are a PAIN and a half to get them to show the coin/errors. I unfortunately don't have the privileged of having a lighting system/camera therefore I'm unable to get the perfect lighting and camera angles that make the clash marks stand out the best they can like other people are able to. ):
