Its ridiculous how long it is taking to ship these coins. These coins were minted 100 years ago! Will it take another 100 years for us to get them?

Did you notice that on ebay, Colonial Acres sold a 1912 $10 HS for $1725? It didn't look all that nice from the reverse photo. Colonial Acres ignored my request for a picture of the obverse...always a good sign to avoid!
Another seller from Alberta, is asking $1750 BIN.

Why such a huge premium for a hand selected 1912 $10 gold piece?

From looking at the picture on the colonial acre coin ,my opinion is that it was a stock photo and not of the hoard coins .It looked like it had actual wear on it and when I look at my 10$ 1914 other than a few dings it looks very good and a lot better than that colonial coin.

Just the usual ebay stupidity when someone perceives something is more rarer than it actually is....

Is there any indication that those that have phoned up in recent weeks have gotten a shipment?

What are those still waiting since the beginning going to receive? The coin that was associated with their order at the order point (if such a thing occurs) or some random coin out of the reject bin of returned coins over the last three months, which would now represent the lowest grades available?

Every time you think the RCM has reached the pinnacle of messing up on an offering, they find new and grander ways of messing up.

1c silver set - Very late due to boxes
Three+ months to ship something already 100% produced and in-hand when offered.
O Canada - Change in the offer after the fact with the box sent with the 7th coin instead of the 3rd

Someone needs to be appointed QA there and clean this up before they destroy the business.

I'm still waiting on a 1914 HS $5 that I ordered on the release date way back when through the web, and was supposed to ship on Dec. 28th. I am wondering what kind of coin I'll receive at this late date.

There is really no difference in the grade or quality of coin. There are huge delays but there are not rejected coins as no returns are allowed on these ones.Plus, the recently available coins were the result of cancellations as lots of people lost interest or maybe did not want $500+ parked when they can use the money to flip.

It's interesting a Mint rep on the phone is stating that ALL $10 gold coins are now sold out. I asked her, "Are you for certain that the $10 gold coins are sold out" she said "Yes, both $5 and $10 and all years are completely sold out". Interestingly enough, they still list the $10 1913 and 1914 for sale on-line. Beats me.

Some of the sale rep are very bad.... just ask to transfer to Customer Resolution department..... you'll have great chance there.

First time post. Thanks for all the information since I ordered a 1914 $5 HS coin back on Nov 29th. I'd almost given up as well, but yesterday did get notification that it has been shipped. Should be here Monday. Looking forward to owning a bit of Canadian history!
