I look at the APMEX app on my Iphone often as well, but missed this quick dip....

Funny I mention cells, on way home two gals pulled out of mall no headlights lol....

I follow to interstate heading west at redlight, charting amongst themselves with ZERO acknowledgemnt of the world they live in....

Head on down the interstate STILL NO HEADLIGHTS, so I pull up next to after they cut over in front of me, so I flashed lights to try and get their attention to ZERO avail....

I pull up next to them as they giggled and ignored me as if I was mad for their cutting me off, when all I was trying to do was keep them from killing self or someone else....

I kid you not they were both texting before that clearly for miles with no headlights....

This my friends is what you all should be preparing for a head on collision NOT doomsday but idiots with cellphones (hand held computers) rolling down the highway, lol....

Bout 10 miles later they exited interstate, minus any headlights or lights of any kind. Man I wish I ahd got their tags and called them in, unbeleavable....

@Silverhawk74, Cel-phones and driving are truly a bigger threat to all of us than any sort of Fiscal Cliff!

One of the reasons this has become such a huge problem is the lack of police patrolling our roads today. In my region of the world, the police have become a work-for-hire force that chase after football games and special events because they get paid for the work.

You cannot assure me that 10 contract-for-pay sheriffs at a football game are not making affecting the number of traffic tickets issued during the time they are working.

Maybe Kitco was seeing into the future. Gold is down $35 this morning to $1706 (lower then the crash of a few days ago) and silver is down over $1 (but not under $32 yet).

Lucky, thats really only a problem in rural areas. Come to the DC area, most places in Northern VA have at least 4 different police departments with jurisdiction in any given area.

A few will get thrown under the bus to save the many on occasion, but at is all.

Yes and on occasion, the many will be tossed under the bus to save the few... or the one!

By creating a very short-term "glitch" like this, it might be possible to cover a short or buy a new long at a price significantly below the real market price and that could amount to a LOT of money. My thought is that if the market can be abused in some way, it will be.
