Nice coins indeed so far ... hoping to see many more once folks return home from work. Moe graciously allowed for the inclusion of classic commemorative ... of which the circulated versions of these tremendous coins are one of my collecting passions. I have four lovelies to share for VG10 day ... along with a few quick comments on each coin's relative availability to todays collector. 1936 Albany Charter Half DollarNet distribution was 17,671 coins. Very difficult coin to find in circulated condition. PCGS has certified a total of 4 examples below AU. This coin is Pop 1 with 1 lower: 1936 Battle of Gettysburg Half DollarNet distribution was 26,928 coins. Difficult coin to find in circulated condition. PCGS has certified 6 examples below AU. This coin is Pop 1 with 1 lower. 1921 Alabama Centennial Half DollarNet distribution was appx 65,000 coins combined between the 'plain' and '2x2' variety. Both are equally priced in the market. Common in circulated condition. PCGS has certifed 75 total Alabama (both varieties) below AU. There are 7 total certified lower than this raw example which I grade at VG10. 1926 Sesquicentennial of the United States Half DollarNet distribution was 141,120 coins. Common in circulated grade. PCGS has certified 20 examples below AU ... hundreds more exist raw. This coin is Pop 2 with 9 lower. Hoping for more VG10 entries. Enjoy David

Dealer's grade on this coin was vg-10 I'm thinking it was undergraded. you all judge: the rest of my low grades I've graded myself and not gone into numerically grading them. I'll post them when I get home if the seem to fall in on a particular day.

Here is Chesterb's 1st entry I am not a Mercury dime expert but I grade this VG-10. Maybe you all can comment if you feel this should grade better (or worse) than that. Let me know your thoughts re: this grade.

My entry into the VG-ish category is a 1723 Hibernia Half Cent I recently picked up on the Bay. I have nothing to go on grading-wise but it looks to me kinda VG. Thoughts? I DO like the off-center strike! PG

Checking in to see whatever was offered on VG09 day ... pleased to see a lovely circulated cameo Bust Half and excellent 1723 Hibernia Half Cent. Not sure exactly how Moe and PG settled on VG09 ... but heck ... lovely coins and thanks for sharing them. Wow ... really appreciate the very kind words on the circulated commemorative ... what a great and challenging set to pursue ... historical USA coins that were not intended to circulate. Truly appreciate the opportunity to share them with you ... rest assured ... I have many more to come on the appropriate days. Looking forward to viewing all the VG08 and lower coins to come. David

I cracked this out of a holder about 15 years ago. It was graded VG-8 but I think it is a little better than that so it belongs on the VG-9 day.
