I just found this 1986 Lincoln with some type of doubling on the reverse.Looks different from most of the MD's I usally find.Please help me to indenty that type of doubling..

There is no notching it is not a double die it's Machine Doubling to me it looks like the die was loose and shifted during striking up and to the right, the you in UNITED is the perfect example, see the 2 gouges before and into the rim that is from the die not PMD

Haha, it happens! I was wondering why you said it wasn't MD then practically provided a definition for MD. Gotta love apple word correcting, lol. :P

Lol it went in reverse somehow and wrote overtop of what I was typing . my iPad as well cannot post pics, have to use my wife's computer, only good thing is it has too good of a camera.
