Well - I've decided against it for a few reasons:

No1: Looking at the pictures, I see absolutely nothing workable into a nice coin.
No2: The seller is not very helpful and is quite short tempered, I simply dont want to do business with him.
No3: I can use the money to buy something else I have my eye on.

Some day ill get a big batch, but ill get it elsewhere. If anyone wants to try their hand at getting this batch, ill happily pass you over.

Prob the right decision

Some of these uncleaned lots have been searched so often nothing but slugs remain. This looks like it may be one of those. I've wanted to pull the trigger on a big uncleaned lot for a long time but its not easy. I came across this a few days ago:

I would need an unhealthy level of trust in the seller to part with this sort of cash. After import you would be looking at £1500. You can buy a lot of nice coins for that sort of money....but still the unknown has a grip on me

I can vouch for the ebay seller you mentioned Bobbyhelmet. It is the only seller which I have bought uncleaned coins from and they all cleaned up pretty nicely.(I did however only purchase 5 and it was a few years ago now...) £1500 is a serious amount of cash though.
