NIFC as the glossary here says would be Not Intended for Circulation. those coins sold by the mint, but not actually given to banks. 2002 and up Sac gold dollars, president dollars starting with the 21st president, 1981 Susan B dollars that were only in sets. other coins like 1970 Half dollar that were in mint sets only, 2002 and up Half dollars, etc.
Not sure which if any Native American gold dollars are business strikes (for circulation) or not. also commemorative coins are NIFC.

I spent all my extra small dollars in Project 100k over the weekend, so I went to my bank Tuesday for more.
Out of 1000 dollar coins: 99 SBA$ 273 SAC$ 624 Pres$ 1 Pres$ impaired proof 3 Pres$ gold plated
There were 2 SAC$ US Mint rolls, and 6 Pres$ N.F.String & Son rolls.

Nobody mixes foreign coins in these rolls?
Since there is $1 profit to be made, I would expect at least a few dollar-alikes to pop up... Kenya 5 cents, Israel 1/2 new shekel, Argentina 50 centavos etc...
