I went to Taco Bell and saw a dollar coin in the till. I asked the lady about it and she was glad to give it up. She gave me a clad half, too. She thought it was a dollar. They were just a regular SBA and JFK, but I now have a new source for coins.

NIFC - Not Issued for Circulation
(Alternatively: Not Intended for Circulation)
Since 2012, the small dollar has not be issued for circulation. They are for collectors only.

I was going through a few small dollar rolls today and encountered this coin. yep, that's a golden Susan B Anthony dollar. Not sure I care how they struck that puppy onto a gold planchet, but that's about 8.1 grams of solid gold there, that is. At about $1157 an ounce, that's about {licks pencil tip, carry the one, drop the fraction, round up to the most favorable number} about $330 worth of gold. Add at least about, oh, say, $25,000-30,000 for numismatic and rarity value, and that's a pretty little coin I found there. I do, however, wonder how and why they got those silver tops/bottoms of the rims on the coin--must've plated some silver, or maybe even some nickel, on the edges to hide the fact of the pure, unadulterated gold (ok, well 22k anyway). Looks like some of that nickel plating got onto a couple of the obverse and reverse high points, too. So what can anyone tell me about this gold-colored Anthony dollar? I might letcha have it for about $24,995.00. Oh, and if need be, I'll get it slabbed (or slobbered) by the third party grading service GGS (that's Garoyn's Grading Service).

the gold-colored Anthony is most likely just gold plated, like the gold plated Statehood Quarters. Sorry, but its only worth $1
