Two small dollar rolls, purchased from bank in Lawrence, KS, both String-and-Sons wrapped.

Of 50 coins total, there were

3 Susan B. Anthony, all three 1979-D
2 Sacs from 2009-P
11 Sacs from 2000-D
5 Sacs from 2000-P
29 Presidential dollars of various types, none interesting or unusual.

I'm not usually a dollar searcher, but my bank was accidentally sent $1000 in small dollars instead of $1000 in halves. I decided to take them anyway. I'm not going to pretend it was especially exciting, but it seems to be a good way to fill in some of my incomplete albums. I didn't find any errors or varieties, but I managed to get a lot of NIFCs. I ended up with:

2002-P SAC
2004-P SAC
2006-P SAC
1 x Arthur
1 x Cleveland
1 x McKinley
2 x T. Roosevelt
1 x Coolidge
1 x Hoover

Since I found so many NIFCs, I will probably do this more often...at least until I can fill in my albums.

Ok, so I decided to go back and read a lot of the previous posts in this thread. I have some questions on why particular coins are being kept by some of you. Please don't take this to mean I'm being critical...I want to understand what value they might have.

A lot of people are posting pictures of old, brown, worn SACs - lowballs. Why are these being saved?

People are pulling out 2009-2015 SACs and calling them NIFC. They aren't actually NIFC, so I threw them all back. Should I be saving them?

Why are people saving Loonies?

Why are people saving 1980 and 1999 SBAs? I understand keeping the 1981s, but is it really expected that the 1980 and 1999 coins will ever be worth anything?

mahgobbi 2009-2015 were NIFC or Not Intended for Circulation. Meaning they were only for collectors. As for the other coins like the lowball brown dollars it may be because they are worn from circulation and since most people do not use dollar coins it takes even longer for one to become lowball and the loonies they may mean something to the person collecting them. Me personally I would save all anthony dollars I get because I like the look of them.

I know what NIFC is...the part that I'm not understanding is why so many people are claiming that 2009-2015 SACs are all NIFC. All of the 2009, 2010, and 2011 SACs were minted in mass quantity and circulated to the general public. I set aside anything from 2002-2008 and anything 2012-current, but I don't understand why people are considering the 2009-2011 collectible.

Asked for halves at the bank today and the teller asked if I also wanted the four small dollars she had. Got 2 2000D Sacs, a 2009P Sac, and Andrew Johnson D. Nothing nice, but never like turning down a teller's offer. Hopefully one day that will result in something nice

Last night I had my best small dollar box.
1 - It was full of 2015 and 2014 Sacs - they were mint.
2 - found a bunch of the 2013-2015 presidents.
3 - S proof Fillmore
4 - My first ever 1981 SBA in great shape.

I love dollars
