Picked up another box of small dollar coins from my bank today. The box said SBA $1000, but was glad when I opened the box and it was a mixture. Out of 1000 coins: 102 SBA, 284 SAC/NAD (one proof), and 614 Presidential dollars.

I've never ordered a box because I have a phobia of dumping them in the coin counter and having half of them come back as quarters. I have been paying my Home Depot bill in halves which is a large pile when dropping $250 every time so I might get a box of dollar coins for this months payment and try to find a way to unload the rest.

Quote:Anyone got a PCGS or NGC pop report on any grade Cheerios dollars as by now 13 years later the word must have gotten out and any that had been preserved in the original packing have all been submitted to the TPG's. Not quite all of them. I have one in its original packaging sitting nice and pretty as the pride of my collection.

I've never ordered a box because I have a phobia of dumping them in the coin counter and having half of them come back as quarters. In the past, I have gotten some boxes of rolls that were sealed from the distribution center, and some boxes of rolls wrapped at the bank. The ones wrapped at the bank have had a few gold plated quarters, and once a British 2 Pence coin. But I have gotten several proofs (slightly impaired), painted coins, and other odd coins. For me, the mystery makes up for the odd coin mix-up.

Got a 2013D dime in change from the bank to fill the hole in my album. Picked up 43 dollar coins while picking up boxes of halves at a different bank. They were all nice and shiny sitting in the tellers tray and I thought NIFC jackpot but it turns out 37 were Andrew Johnsons.

$111 in dollar coins. Nothing special. I'll have to dump them off on Home Depot on Monday to pay my bill.

My best dollar find came at the credit union one day. I always ask for dollar coins ; if they don't have them, I take some cash & walk down to the four commercial banks within a mile (I always skip the one in the grocery store). The teller says, "just one, but it's kinda big", & hands me a 1921 Morgan.
Other than that, the only thing I pay much attention to is '99 Anthonies. I think the three I have all came from the ticket vending machines at the railway station.
