I'm posting them as I find them. The coins are now sorted by type and I'm looking at each one, making notes, spreadsheets, etc as I go. I've done a quick review of everything but the Mercs and other dimes, and there's about 30 pounds of buffaloes to sort and examine (all well-circulated). I guess I should look through all the Jeff nickels too. We sold a bunch of War Nickels recently but I have a small bag of those left plus a ton of other non-war Jeff nickels. I haven't begun to study those.

No exceptional dates in the remainder other than what I've already posted.

That still sounds like a ton of fun. I wonder what kind of buffalos you will find!

Doesn't look like an O which leaves S as the only choice. There were two rev dies on the 1896-S with differing positions of the mint mark. If someone has the Barber quarter book it might be a good idea to see if the position of the mintmark on this piece matches one of the known positions.

I just noticed that you have already visited us!
Did you try to check the reeding?

Did you also link to the David Lawrence Blog?
It's in the menu.

Where are you located? Perhaps you will be able to attend
one of our regional meetings in the future.

Oh, it looks like an "S" to me.

Hi Matthew,

The FUN show sounds like fun but I don't live in the area and won't be attending. I'll follow it online though, if people are blogging it.
