If you look at the coin under a glass , you should see some zinc showing . Especially at the tops of letters , look right above "5 cents" , some of the "core" should be exposed . From your pictures , it sure looks like a winner !

I wouldn't put a reserve on this coin. It doesn't sound like you are a coin collector, so anything over face is better to you than owning the coin. Auctions with reserves tend to get a lot less interest, because there is no certainty for the buyer and it could be a waste of time (plus many reserves are set way too high). Make sure you put the coin in the Coins: Canada category on ebay. List it under errors and maybe under 5 cents as well. Give it 7 days so that it gets attention. There's some people on here who will have this coin bid up over $100 very quickly. Don't scare anyone else away by putting a reserve on it. |

You will have to decide whether to list under cents or nickels. I would pay to put it in both.
