Looking good smoker I hear ya on those modern silver proofs being $$$, low mintage. I only need the 2012 clad proof, to finish mine. I got most of my set from circulation want to find that one, and trades, big thanks to bish and sd coins I only had to buy 5 of the modern silver proofs, those guys traded me the rest. I see we are talking about that extra page again, muddler havnt we talked about this before . I have the extra page, and it fits in the book, dont worry one more page doesn't add that much more weight, you wont even tell the difference. I see some dealers selling type 1 and 2 proofs for 81 and 82, so I imagine there is some block s strikes for those coins like the 79 proof. Maybe dansco should also add slots for the no fg 82 and 66. I have a couple 82 no fg's, I was thinking this winter I might dump out my 40% coins and check my 1966 coins for the no fg.

I don't know why Dansco did not include the 1998 s matte silver coin in this inclusive set yet they included the 1895 proof in the Morgan dollar album.

I think eventually I will have some sort of blank page for varieties - 71D 72, 73D, 74D DDOs; 72D, 82, 83 No FGs. But I also think there will always be one more variety out there to be had. Even in this thread I learned some more like the satin finish ones mentioned, the TI and TII 81 & 82S proofs. In fact while roll hunting I got an 1967 DDO, and just recently a 1964 DDR. Looking these up online reveals there are multiple types of double dies for these years! I have to put a limit on how far I will go or a forklift won't lift the collection. syntax error edit

Quote: I have to put a limit on how far I will go or a forklift won't life the collection. Exactly! It's bad enough with the other coins albums, let alone all the possible varieties in the Kennedy series. I will likely find/pick up the varieties casually along the way. The priority now shifts to the Lincoln book. Everything in there, with the exception of the first page or so, are BU coins, so matching that across the board is going to take some time and money. The keys do NOT count into the BU requirement. LOL The 14D and 31S are at ANACS getting graded now. I may use my weak D in the 22 no D slot. And that leavs the 09S VDB. So given the need for THAT little gem (and an 09S to complete the IHP book) the Kennedy varities are just gonna have to wait. Unless of course you all want to gift me some.

Very nice, I have been putting a few JFKs aside to start one some day. But, I must stay focused, I must stay focused, I must stay focused...

Congratulations smokeriderdon! Great milestone and great set. I added a page at the end of my 7166 kennedy album for the satin coins.
I'm waiting to see what dansco does before I buy the proofs/proof album.

Although the 8166 is a *heavy* book, with all the discussion about varieties, especially the satin finishes, I think I'll add a blank page at the end - I think there's room for one more page - for those special guys....

Yeah, space may be there, but I don't want it to fall off a shelf and kill one of my dogs.
