I think this listing is particularly interesting, particularly the sellers additional comments...
I'm sure most of our more astute readers will be able to put together the pieces to complete this jigsaw puzzle

Such a shame... I guess genuine polymer errors now won't have a chance to sell on ebay now since there's so much bs going on with tampering. I've never seen a polymer note error with a completely blank side. I'm not too knowledgable on polymer printing process but I think it's almost impossible to miss all the printing process steps. I think the best you could find would be something like this... With the underlay print at least.

Oh and Banknote lover if those notes belong to you; NICE! That is what a real error should look like.

We all know the odds, especially when they go to great lengths to make a fake account to distract attention from themselves, but fail on the template lol

Enworb is on the ball. Nancy, what's the verdict?

Hi all, I agree it does seem rather "co-incidental", but before more aspersions are cast, is there any way to find some concrete evidence? Otherwise, some of these written allegations/suspicions could possibly be deemed a little libellous. And if these allegations are found to be incorrect, and therefore libellous, the CCF has also been victimising an innocent person.

But ... re the ebay seller/s, I found the history between toshiba12222 and notes_au rather curious as well ...

FNQ that 12js guy isn't me and he is most likely the same guy as 12segate or something like that. And why would I fake a note and come here and discuss about it. It seems rather foolish/counter intuitive.

All these so called 'missing ink' notes that have started appearing lately have been stripped of the ink with acetone.

There are now at least 4 sellers involved so the ebay Germs are multiplying and who knows how long is is until there's dozens of them plying their amazing 'errors'.

Yep, very dodgy , t***1 bought 4 out of 5 of the missing ink notes sold by that seller.

There are a few earlier comments in this thread that I just don't get:

Am I missing something?

What I'd like to see is someone (wink wink nudge nudge) to put up a dummy sale on ebay for a similarly treated note, and explain that they are totally fake 'errors' and have a ridiculous starting price, say $5000 so no-one will be silly enough to actually bid, but perhaps any prospective bidder will get educated in the process, and it might go a long way towards curtailing the activities of these creeps.

What I'd like to see is someone (wink wink nudge nudge) to put up a dummy sale on ebay for a similarly treated note, or even multiple notes, and explain that they are totally fake 'errors' and have a ridiculous starting price, say $5000 so no-one will be silly enough to actually bid, but perhaps any prospective bidder will get educated in the process, and it might go a long way towards curtailing the activities of these creeps.

Back to the blank note. There was a blank $100 note that was up for offer at Status International Auction along with numerous inking errors.http://www.statusint.com/result_coins.php?id=92

It is at the very bottom.

It is odd as I could have sworn that perhaps two weeks ago a couple of new CCF threads started with a very similar user name and then all suddenly disappeared (I assumed removed by admin for some reason). I was more than curious once this new account started up.
How did a basic question such as:

Quote:
I wish to know the worth of one of those little 50 cent Jubilee coins with a slight yellowy tinge

which seems quite a novice (14 going 15 as declared), go almost immediately to statements such as:

Quote:
25g is a bit high for the buyers but I think the seller will cancel the bidding because I've seen the same seller cancel even though he gets around 22-24

Which seemed more the ebay memory of a note fanatic as the previously cancelled items are NOT simply in the sellers history.
(Hence my latter question in that thread).
All this within hours!
I thought the 25g was an interesting term also ..... and one that was repeated elsewhere ...... have g's replaced k's? (I might be getting old).
I thought it also may have been someone looking to set the world record in CCF posts ..... or at least trying to raise their post count quickly for some advantage.
I tried to work out one way from another from the response posts, but FNQ's post came before a final conclusion.
