Another Acetoned Note On Ebay

The story is still BS tho.
47 years ago we had ATM's
I have never seen an ATM that dispenses $5 notes
and the "a slight ink run through the white empty white box bottom left ." Stinks of acetone to me

There is also the drama of ( if genuine) this bloke actually has this note, or if it is a stolen pic as well
Too many iff's about this listing to be genuine or believable

I am not trying to wind you up at all Mate, It's just that the listing has absolutely NO credibility at all

I simply wiped/rubbed the note with an acetone soaked tissue to prove a point without being creative

I get "can't be done" "impossible" from my blokes at work all the time, But at the end of the day the job is done

There ARE some cleaver buggers out there so never underestimate what some people will do to turn $5 into $5,000.
Any stuff ups can be easily disposed of by simply spending them until they get the knack of doing it right
I seriously doubt that this is a genuine note because there would have been a whole sheet of them (That are inspected) and the Q&A at the press is quite stringent.
IF these notes were printed individually I could believe it.
They are not so I recon the listing is a scam and the spelling of the listing gives the Country origin of the seller away as well

I agree that 1955 is a typo and should be 1995.

Also, in the early 80s when ATMs first appeared they did dispense $5 notes (of course they were paper ones back then).
In the early 90s I worked at a bank branch and we had 2 ATMs. One dispensed 50s and 20s, the other 20s and 10s. So it is unlikely that he really did get it from an ATM but its possible that other banks/credit unions might have dispensed 5s at the time.

The note however does look genuine. I dont think you can remove the black ink but leave all the other ink behind. But at $5000 I won't be going anywhere near it.
