It like the 2012 "S" ATB Business Strike Quarters at around 1.4 M seem a lower mintage relative to the First week of White Mt. "S" MS 2013 Quarters sales. It has been reported that in the 1st week of sales, 567,860 White Mt. "S" MS have already been sold. I predict that the future sale of this coin will far exceed the 1.4 M of each of the 2012 "S" MS issues. Comments......

That new three-roll Set basically says "Hi, every Quarter collector in the USA, we have 'S' Quarters too, you know..."

So how many buyers will think BU 'S' Quarters are new for 2013?!

I'm planning to get them. Since the are being distributed slowly throughout the years, it makes it easier. A roll of them is less than $20 so it is reasonable to collect them all.

I have always kept the 2012 S ATB Rolls inside the white USM boxes that have labels like : LP 9, LP 5 and so on. ebay customers prefer the unopened Mint roll boxes. The box(es) are easy to ship. Hope that helps, Mark.

I keep my set of five 2012-S BU rolls in one tray.

My extra Acadia-S roll is still in its white box, since it was Sold Out before it even got to my house...

Mint News Blog's post stated the "S" Quarters will be in a new type of three-coin Set.
I just got an e-mail from the US Mint for the White Mountain three-coin set. The S-mint quarter is still listed as being a proof.

Just received my White Mountain S-Mint quarters. An attractive design. After reading through this thread I'm wondering if the mint will increase production of the S-Mint or if they'll keep it at approx 1 to 1.4 million as in 2012. If they do I'll get more S Mint.

The latest mint report shows that the USM has sold 672,980 "S" BU ATB White Mountain 2013 quarters already. I think that 2013 "S" BU mint figures per issue will somewhat greater than 2012 "S" BU issues. Comments....

The ones for 2012 were kind of experimental to see how well they would sell. They obviously didn't want to create an excess supply languishing in inventory for years to come, so only made approximately 1.4M of each design. There might be slightly more than that in 2013 if they are trying to get the rolls and bags through the end of the calendar year as listed in the item description. Because they are included in the 3-roll option, I would estimate perhaps 2.5M of the '13-S coins. It doesn't make sense to flood the market. On the plus side, if these S-coins are continuing to the end, all I need is one blank quarter page for the 8146 customized just for the S-quarters from 2012-15.

If the mint truly want to create a collectors market for these S-mint then they should cap the 2013-S mintage at around 2.5M (ie: let it sold out, at around the end of the year or even before that, rather than making excess). Such sold out items will create a higher sale the following year.... each year the can progress to increase the mintage by about 500K to 1M, they will continue to make money, increase the collector base (make a good long term market for their products). It will be a winning strategy for the Mint and collectors will be happy too.

But this is the US Mint we are talking about..... I'm probably just wishful thinking here.

A Mint report this week showed that in less than a month of sales, the USM has sold 756,500 2013 "S" White Mt. Unc quarters, That is more than half of the total sales for 4 out of 5 2012 "S" Unc quarter issues. Interesting.....
