Hello, I found this coin could you tell me if this could be an error. It weighs 4.7 g has a strange pitch when dropped and looks like the coating may be missing on one side. Sorry about pics can do better if it helps. Thanks.

Congratulations, you found a quarter missing a clad layer A non-State Quarter would be worth $25-40 but State Quarter errors seem to have quite a bit of variation in value depending on the rarity of each state. I would guess that it could be worth $100+ and FWIW, I could not find any Viriginia clad errors on ebay.

Although the photos aren't the greatest, I agree that it's a missing a clad layer. Everything looks correct and the weight is right. Like everything else though, a large portion of the value is based on its condition. It looks like it could have some environmental damage...? That would definetely hurt the value.
