I guess you are correct Earle42, there will always be an option for up grades and the obscure die variety. To that matter even my mentioned "complete Franklin set" is not complete, I am looking for graded proof cameos and am short six of those.

muddler, I admit I think this idea is one reason I could not resist getting one of the Daniel Carr 1964 Franklin half fantasy coins when he made them. I also see now where there are a lot more Bugs Bunny halves than 1955! I DO consider my Franklins more than complete with the Daniel Carr addition, but will always keep an eye out for the other Bugs Bunny pieces. and... I just ordered the 1975 Carr Kennedy creations also. Eventually I want to put the Kennedy set in a holder/album and just include these in for the fun of it. So when I show them to somebody, I will be able to tell how much they know about the series.

The Franklins are pretty expensive now - if and - when they come up on ebay. I think the last one I saw sold was 250.00 The JFK 1975s come in both clad or 40% silver; or Bicentennial REV clad or 40%. The 1963s are all 90%.

Quote: And yeah, complete is relative. For some that are obsessed with a series (like some of those Ike guys), every variety is a must. For me, in reference to this series, I feel the 98 matte and the 64 accented hair are the two not in the Dansco that are required for the collection to be COMPLETE. I differ a bit in that I don't consider any 'variety' to be part of the set. I agree any album should have a spot for the 98, but the hair coin is not 'hole worthy' IMO. If you get to putting holes for accented hair, you start worrying about die varieties. You left out the 2005-2010 SMS coins too. Dansco REALLY needs to get on the ball there. The 64SMS is not part of the set IMO. I was just throwing that out to stir the pot.

@solotimee I am not sure I understand what you are saying b/c off the top of my head I cannot think of a proof, clad JFK that is not an S MM. I also admit I am foggy in the head anyway right now from meds.

Bad totheBone - not sure if you got my PM. I find Safari is not well liked by the CCF website and can take FOREVER to upload to the optimizer and/or thread. I use Firefox when doing this. Also, if you open a pic with Preview, you can choose "save as." After the window comes up asking where to ut it, a slider is at the bottom that alloows you to adjust the size to 100K or below. I use this since its faster than using the (great!) CCD free image optimizer.
Sometimes though Preview will not allow reduction of a very large file to 100K -don't know why. So these I reduce as far as possible and then upload to the image optimizer on CCF. And I also, out of habit, use preview to lower the image to at most 95K b/c for some reason the CCF website sometimes says the 100k-preview-sized pic is larger and won't load it.

Well I'm trying but having a little better luck with Firefox Aurora. Still doing something wrong. What is Photo Bucket or Preview. I have no web addy's for them gentlemen. Going to try to use my Apple because my Dino-lite software is for Mac. I'm going to have to get the windows software and install it on my Windows 8 computer. It should work there then...hopefully but me still trying to get it to work on my computer. Yes I did get your E-mail thank You and I will reply to you. Thank You both for all of your help gentlemen. Oh by the way my photos from my Dino-lite are 600 mb or better. I think I can adjust that but I have to check. I hope I get it to work cause I really have some nice shots of the coins. Bummer
