Here is the 1976 $10 Olympic coin I scooped up for $30 bucks...1.44OZ of .999 silver I believe, but have seen .925 on some other posts?

Any definitive answer of the silver content?

All of the '76 Silvers are 'Sterling' 92.5% silver - still, pretty good deal.
I've been keeping an eye to complete my set that I started in 1976. For a while there, I turned down the full 28 coins that were listed for $225 - hind sight is 20/20.

The Montreal Olympics coins were struck using silver planchets that were 0.925 fine (i.e., sterling silver).

I have the chance to get the entire 28 coin set in the walnut box with the 7 issued series in seperate drawers & a brass coin for each series for $670CDN+tax...No shipping as its down the street & can pick it up anytime...There are no paper certificates though, but the dove tailed walnut box and the brass coin shows the #'d drawers & what they are... 30 oz of silver for $300 less than spot...dunno why I havent grabbed it yet, but I havent yet... Any persuasions or warnings about buying welcomed... :)
