While certainly not an expert in Classic Half Cents, I can tell you that the draped bust Half Cent from the year before, 1808, had so many rotated reverse coins produced that I do not believe that this particular rotation error is rare enough to justify any premium over that of a non-rotated coin of the same condition and year. The better the quality control that a Mint exercises over its production, the more valuable the errors become. I just do not think that quality control of die rotation was of import in the production of Half Cents at the time.

This is a C-2, an R-3+ coin. Breen says these are frequently found with rotated reverses but he doesn't mention how much rotation.

I'm a Morgan guy, but I know about 1/2 cents to know that's a nice one!

rotated Half Cents & large cents: high supply, low demand.

Here's another one that has seen better days with about a 150' rotation.

This one is a C-5, the 1809/6. breen doesn't mention a rotated die on this one. It's an R-1.

Conder101, I honestly can't tell with the corrosion, are you using some other identifying feature to attribute it?

The point of leaf (POL) is a little past the right side of the second S in STATES. That fits C-2,3, and 5. The POL below the F in OF is well past the edge of the right foot. That is C-5. On C-2 and C-3 the POL is below the right foot of the F.

Thanks, I don't have access to the specific information needed to attribute these. It's a cool error on a not so great condition, common, Half Cent. Too bad its so bad off, I guess this error could be desirable for a C-5.
