Hello! I bought this in a job lot of silver coins just before Christmas and I'm struggling on an ID of the ruler(possibly a female bust?). I can't read the writing which is annoying however I can see it ends in LLA. Does anyone know who this mysterious woman is?

It's a Plautilla. Give me a few minutes and I might be able to fully attribute.

It's hard to be certain about the reverse, but I believe it may be RIC 361: Plautilla AR Denarius. 202 AD. PLAVTILLAE AVGVSTAE, draped bust right / CONCORDIAE AETERNAE, Plautilla & Caracalla clasping hands

Thanks Bing, I'm about to ebay a small lot of broken Denari that I know longer want; should I shove it in with them or do you reckon this coin is worthy of a separate listing?

Although not rare, Plautilla Denarii can be expensive. I bought one recently for $60, but that was well below market. As to your coin, it is broken and I'm guess you don't have the other half. I don't think you will get much action on this coin listing it by itself, but, hey, you never know.

Bing, do you think RIC 365 might work also?

Yes, there are several that are possible with RIC 361 and 365 being just two of them.
