I have sent a note also to Rod, telling him we will keep an eye out down this way if anything shows up.
But, it would be nice if we had a list of what was stolen.

He wasnt to stealth about looking out the door with the flashlight in his hand & its almost like he knew he had the time to do it & where he wanted togo...

Hopefully someone ID's him from the footage & or is caught trying to sell the booty on eBay/kijiji or at another dealers store, coin show etc.

Mac's Robbery Arrest

An arrest has been made for the robbery that occurred on January 4th, 2013 at the Mac's Convenience Store located at 745 Simpson Street.

Detectives followed up information that a facebook posting stated that a male suspect had allegedly just committed a robbery at a Mac's Store. The investigation lead the officer's to get a search warrant for the suspects residence. Evidence was seized as a result of the search and an arrest warrant requested since the suspect was not present.

The 19 year old Travis Jacob Loon turned himself at the Thunder Bay Police Station just after 9:30 p.m. on January 6th, 2013. He has been charged with Robbery, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and two counts of Breach of Probation. He appeared in court today and has been remanded to the district jail.

Kijiji Posting Lead to an Arrest of Stolen Property

A 42 year old male was arrested at 2:20 p.m. on January 7th, 2013 for having stolen Tragically Hip tickets in his possession.

The victim of a break and enter that occurred on December 27th, 2012 contacted the police when she saw a posting on Kijiji to sell tickets to the upcoming Tragically Hip concert in Thunder Bay. The listing identified the row and seat number of the tickets which had already been reported as stolen to the police.

Police officers contacted the seller listed on the Kijiji posting and made arrangements to purchase the tickets. Two undercover police officers attend a North Court Street address that was provided by the seller to purchase the tickets. When the male produced the tickets to the undercover officers, he was arrested and taken into custody.

He has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000.00 and has been released to a future court date.
