I don't have any good Elagabalus but I've posted what I have.   Supposed to be an AR Denarius, but I haven't been able to bring out any of the silver. Still waiting on my first Elagabalus Sestertius - hopefully one more week. I may need 'sacrifice' these three to justify the purchase Elagabalus AE31 of Antioch in Syria. Obv. Radiate bust right Rv. City Goddess seated left on rock, holding ears of corn, River God Orontes swimming at her feet, above ram running left. S C in field 31-33mm 13.97 grams   Elagabalus AE25 Moesia Inferior - Markianopolis Obv. Laureled head right Rv. Euthenia standing left holding corn ears and cornucopia 25mm 10.49 grams   Elagabalus AE26 Nikopolis ad Istrum Obv. Radiate bust right Rv. Artemis running left holding bow and drawing arrow from quiver hound at feet 26-27mm 11.73 grams

A nicely struck example with plenty of detail. RIC 341. Cohen 7  There were some interesting types issued in Alexandria. This one is a bit ugly. Elagabalus Billon Tetradrachm Obv:- A KAICAP MA AVP ANTWNINOC EV CEB, laureate head right Rev:- Helmeted bust of Athena right; L-G to either side. Minted in Alexandria, Year 3, (219/220 A.D.). You can get some interesting errors on the eastern issues. Severus Alexander Denarius Obv:- IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXANDER AVG, Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right Rev:- LIBERTAS AVG, Aequitas, standing front, head left, holding scales in right hand and cornucopiae in left; Minted in Antioch. A.D. 223. Reference:â€" BMC -. RIC -. RSC -. An oddity mixing the legend and deity. My favourite errorSeverus Alexander denarius Obv:â€" IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, Laureate head right Rev:â€" VIRVS (sic) AVG, Virtus standing right, holding reversed spear and victory This one has VIRVS in place of VIRTVS Alexander, Billon Tetradrachm Obv:- A KAI MAP AY CEY ALEXANDPOC, Laureate, cuirassed bust right Rev:- Dikaiosyne seated left on facing throne, holding scales and cornucopia. Minted in Alexandria. Year 7 (LZ in upper left field). A.D. 227/228. Reference:- Milne 3017. Emmett 3097 (7) R5 citing Milne. Geissen -. Dattari 4296.
