Today I noticed a different number of seeds in the holes of the Congkak board on 1991 dated coins.. (congkak is a game) Other years had the same number of seeds..

It's Die Subtypes : Mid-year Design Modification. The 1st picture is Type II and the 2nd picture is Type I. Type I were used from 1989 to 1991. 1989 was the year Malaysia released their 2nd Series coins. Type II were used from 1991 to 2011. 2011 was the last of Malaysia's 2nd Series coins. However, Type I "re-emerged" on some 2008 10 cents coins. 2008 10 cents Type I and Type II. A Transitional Design Variety.
