Hi all,

Is anyone else trying to access coinpeople.com getting the "I'm throwing in the towel message"? Not sure if it's true or a hacker has hit the site.

I'm getting it too. I just found it because I noticed a lot of hits coming from his site all of a sudden. I mean we always got hits from there but I'm talking like 20 in 5 minutes.

I didn't really think about the hacker possibly. Could be I guess. I hope thats it and the site isn't truly done.

What a shame. I will miss that site, and I know Stujoe put so much into it.
Another problem is all of my addresses were stored in there. I owe some folks money, and others thank you's. If any of you have the address for Blackhawk, 28plain,Christian, Trantor, or anybody else I was dealing with when this happened, please PM me.
Thank you so much.

Wondering the same thing Ray, just trying to feel my way around this site too. I've got a feeling coinpeople may be done, I hope not though.

We don't have a PM feature because with this forum software, it was not private. There was an option for moderators or administrators to view the PM's and we felt that was not right. You can go to anyone's profile page and email. This is completely private.

Has anyone heard from Stu?

I've emailed him, but no reply as of yet

Is there a way not to log in and password everytime I reply to a thread?

Thanks Susan, thye email is a little clumsy because of the security feature. It is doable though, just have to put each member on my safe list.

Here is the message currently being displayed when you go to coinpeople:
Running a popular forum on a very limited budget while trying to maintain a family and full time job and not having enough knowledge to run a real server and protect it from hackers and everything else the internet has to offer has finally caught up with this amateur webmaster. I am just flat out unable to keep the server up and running properly. It has died and I am unable to bring it back.

At this point, the CoinPeople.com server is totally inaccessible (to put it mildly, it is trashed) and, unfortunately, nothing can be retrieved off of it. It would cost more than $80 an hour for it to be reloaded and reconfigured just so that it could end up almost certainly being trashed again.

It has been a good run and I thank everyone for their participation and friendship over the years. It has been fun. Hopefully, most everyone can meet up on another forum site. I will list some of them below. See ya around the net...

Sorry. It just seemed like the best option at the time.

I wish someone would hear from Stu. I don't have Tiffibunny's either or I'd email her and see what she knows. All of my communication with CP members happened through PM, so I don't have the email addresses.

I just feel so bad for Stu and CP. He had just put so much work into that forum and his numislinks page. I would love to hear from him.
Rest in Peace

Some of you may have also noticed that Stujoe has disappeared from nearly every other forum going too.
