Well, Trantor_3 is here, looking for a new "home" now CP has passed away :(

There seem to be two places where the CP members are heading to, this site and https://www.numismatic-playground.com, run by (CP members) SMS and MoS.

I'm visiting both places now, future will tell what will become my new "home" or if I will do it fancy, with two homes ;)

If it is the competition that has taken Stujoe out then I hope this server has triple firewalls because it might be the next forum to be attacked by hackers

Finally I will say, susan & bobby, I sure hope you 2 have good anti-hacker stuff protection at this site, the loser who took out CP is still out thar--

Just wanted to note that Stujoe has said it was not a hack and I quote from Stujoe...

I also wanted to squash any rumors of a grand conspiracy against CoinPeople. It is really a simple matter of me being in over my head in running such a large site. It has been a problem from the beginning as anyone who has been around through the various, website downtimes over the years can attest to.

Anyway, no worries here. Our servers are extremely well protected. I also do a complete backup of the forum every day, so even if the server was wiped clean, I could be back up and running in an hour. At worst, missing 24 hours of posts.

Stujoe ~ I can't tell you how sorry we are that this happened.

Trantor_3 and AuldFartte, welcome to the forum and thanks for posting that link to SMS's site. I just got home and meant to do that. Glad you beat me to it. I took a look over there and will probably be signing up myself when I get a minute.

Thanks for the kind words, all. I know there is a lot of support for my old site out here and it did pain me very much to come to this descision. I very much appreciate the support I have received throughout the run of the site.

I expect to be more active on the various forums as I come to grips with the whole thing myself. I will, of course, still be here..like it or not.

Stujoe, what a shame! I will miss it, I can understand the feelings though. With a family, job it must have taken up a lot of time to maintain the site.
Thank you for opening up the PM portion, I did get some belated messages sent, and was able to retreive a couple of address's.
Hope all is well, and you enjoy being just one of us contributers.
