I'm a buyer, not a seller, but I always wonder what possesses sellers to put â-ˆâ-"â-'â-' and other things like that in my feedback. What does that mean?

UPDATE: 1. ebay overturned it's initial ruling and decided the case in my favor (ruled the coin is the 15 star variety) 2. My list and FVF's were returned to me. 3. ebay sent me $162.40 4. buyer returned coin 5. I just sold coin on ebay for $1699 for an additional $75 profit over the original sale price. Final tally, coin is sold and I profited an additional $237.40 from 1st buyer's error.

Awesome! Glad the ruling was overturned. This buyer seriously had, um . . . I'll be nice and say "counting problems."

Perhaps I have been fortunate but I have never run into a dealer who was not pleased to work with a knowledgeable buyer. Whether or not I buy on a particular day, spending time just chatting lets us both "get a feel" for the other.
Our friend "g" was not at all fortunate. He ran up against a "problematic" buyer. Nothing can or should be added to the list of adjectives used to describe the buyer. And while it is a relief that the ruling was changed, and while it was nice to be compensated for the hassle, poor "g" went through a lot of grief.
Now, do I understand correctly that EddieDiz has purchased the "not as described" coin? A happy ending at last!

Yes,I purchased it. Luckily,I got my tax refund the day before it was re-listed. He definitely won't get stiffed this time;he gives very good descriptions. It was also re-assuring that I saw he is a member of the forum.
