What would be the FMV for a 1880/79 P VAM-23 Morgan dollar?

There is one being sold in XF condition on ebay for $179.00. Use that as a temporary guide as the NGC population website is temporarily down for a more accurate assessment.

The VAMView Price Guide lists this one at $800 in XF. Getting that price is another matter.
