However since no one can ever tell how many got melted and for what year, It will be too risky (and impossible) to guess, therefore, the only true value will be determined by mintage and of course condition. If the denomination starts to see reduced collecting rates, then the prices can stagnate or fall. Look at large cents, silver five cents and the entire Newfoundland series.
