That is probably why ICCS didnt comment on it, just a simple die crack. I believe a true "bar" has to fully connect the leaves. Report this Post to the Staff

I was just saying that coin has more of a bar than the one on ebay right now, and it didn't make the cut for the bar variety, so this one definitely shouldn't. john517 Valued Member Canada 286 Posts	Posted 02/05/2013 9:29 pm I'd say that this coin has been cleaned for sure. The "A" & "N" in Canada on the reverse are an easy flag as well as the inscription on the obverse the patina is just to thick here for the rest of the coin to have not suffered the same fate. Also the micro dimpling on the reverse like a golf ball effect on the surface I was told could be a sign of a chemical clean on old patina where the corrosion of the silver wasn't uniform across the coins surface on a microscopic level. Now of course I could be completely wrong I am just letting you know what I see. Trust your gut. Report this Post to the Staff
