I personally prefer the Fractional set. It looks very nice. Lots of PO had it but it was over looked by folks due to the farewell to the penny stuffs releasing at the same time. It has recently pick up steams. Especially by the American. I would figure the shopping channel in the U.S does boost that a bit as they were selling them around $1000 (graded). Depend on where you are, you still can find them at post Office. One of the post office I've been to had 10 sets before and they all sold out now.

I've found lots at post offices, and I live in small town. I'm sure it's getting harder now.

The 2008 gold gilded SML is doing okay, remaining above issue price but not by much. All of the previous fractional sets (2003 hologram, 2004 RCM privy, lynx, fox) are still going for above issue price, but then issue price was considerable lower back when silver cost less. My guess is that the 2013 fraction and 1oz SML will hover around issue price only after the market cools (especially after the hype south of the border dies down). But, they are both superbly beautiful sets/coins so irregardless of future value, I would be treasuring mine.

Since 2007, there are a few 25th Anniversary Silver coin sets: Chinese Panda, American Silver Eagle, UK Britannia, Mexico Libertad. I'm not sure if the Australian release any 25th Anniversary Silver coin set. I currently having 3 of the 4 mentioned (not the Panda).
I personally think the 1oz 25th Anni SML has a very nice design (better than the 5oz one; I wish they used the 1oz design for the 25th Annie fractional set). The 1oz and the Fractional Set would complement each other (same 25th Annie theme).
If you are force to choose only 1 design then get the 1oz one (I don't know about historical price record, probably poboxw is right) because 10K mintage is not a huge number compare to so many people collecting 1oz silver coins in general, SML in particular (not just Canadian but around the world). Buying/collecting 1oz silver coin seemed to be the new trend now....

I like the way the 5oz looks. It match the fractional. What they could do is a 2oz SML this way you can have add to the the fractional set

I don't know what it is, but I've never sold so many coins to just the USA, it's very strange.

@ bigspender - in my opinion this is a no contest decision. If you have to choose between the 25th anniversary 1oz or the fractional set, the fractional set should win hands down. The lackluster design of the 1oz is no competition for the coins in the fractional set and having the same coins in various sizes makes such a cool display. I realize that there is a $90 price difference between the two but the fractional set is worth the extra $90 all day long.

I saw this set at a PO this morning.
Have a mix feeling should I take it. As I have 1 set already.
Any advice? Thanks

I think I've decided to go with both.

I am leaning toward Bigspenders idea as well. If you don't, either one was always feel "incomplete".
