Quote: Thanks for posting Silveroid. Thank you, the pleasure is mine to post it. I saw the same coin on the Toronto show, without COA has been sold for $40.

FYI the Sochi coins are now reduced from 149.95 to 104.95 plus free shipping from the Mint.

Hey, not a bad deal plus free ship! Now if they would just throw in a 5-pack lucky loonie pack with a Sochi subscription, I might go for it!

I would say, they still not pure silver with ordinary-sports design. No, the sports coins could be very attractive, like Canadian 5oz or 1kg coins....but not the same "winter activities theme".

If they started at that price, I would have subscribed. Buying them all now at $105 (x 10 coins) is a little rich for the post Christmas billing blues.

Some of the Sochi coins are selling out at the mint. I guess the price drop helped.

Some off-top, but interesting info: At the Sochi Olympic site, at the distributor's boutique possible to order gold Sochi coin. The info that I have - they 3kg of gold each. Another info, that I see in some sites: additional Silver / Gold Sochi coins issued, while on them depicted Mascot of Olympics games. They are rectangular, have .999 purity, 1oz. Take a look at this video, just see the coins, what they say there doesn't meter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtSYsGoqySUAnd here is the catalogue of images of the coins: http://www.sbrf.ru/common/img/uploa.../olympic.pdfThe prices are in Russian Rubles, so divide on 35 for USD

I bought only one of the Sochi coins, and I am quite impressed. Both, with the coin, and the COA.

I just noticed this thread, thats a nice coin and deal. My question is- they are saying awaiting stock on the Olympic hockey coin.... on the RCM mint,, does awaiting stock mean they are going to have more of these for sale on the site?

Sorry yup7676, it has happened in the past, where a coin comes back into stock, but it's more likely the next post will be 'sold out'.

@yup7676: I do not like these "already outdated" coins (.925 purity), but this fact will not prevent to try to help. I believe, the European main dealers on ebay will have a lot of these. So, here the example for the listing (you will know, what to search for): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sochi-2014-...em4ad0345597put your bed and have a good luck!! Added: and this one has a weak design, but more symbolic and 1oz of .999 silver: Russia 2012 3 rubles Polar Bear Sochi 2014 Proof Silver Coin in a gift box!http://www.ebay.com/itm/Russia-2012...em1c3c60a354

I won the auction and I am very happy.
Looking forward to adding this one to the collection.
thank you again Silveroid for the assistance, I would have missed this one had you not pointed it out.
